Support and Advice

For customers who have purchased a car from us or had work done by us on their car we are happy to give unlimited support and advice free of charge for the entire time they own the car.

Until recently we have applied the same criteria to anybody else who asks for support or advice, but we now get such a large number of calls and emails from all over the world that we are spending significant time and effort on this, to the detriment of our main business.

We still want to give assistance when asked, so to keep things fair for everybody we have introduced a modest annual subscription for support and advice. This will cover a response to an unlimited (within reason) number of questions from the subscriber for a period of one year on any subject relating to classic Mercedes cars which they own or intend to purchase. We do not guarantee to know the answer to every question asked, but if we don’t we will try to point the enquirer to somewhere that the answer can be found, or do some basic research ourselves to try and find it.

The current annual fee is £150 + VAT for unlimited assistance over a one year period. This equates to around two hours of labour from a typical garage so we feel it represents excellent value.

To subscribe please call 07980 241177 or 01625 260913 and have your debit or credit card details to hand. Your first request can be dealt with as soon as payment has been made, and your subscription will run from the first day of the month in which your subscription fee is paid.

THE SMALL PRINT: All requests for assistance must be made by incoming voice call or text from a known non-witheld number, or email from a known email address. These numbers and addresses will not be passed on to any other person or organisation unless at the express request of the subscriber. Questions must be phrased succinctly in an objective style and must be capable of being answered in similar style. Answers will be given to the best of our knowledge in an effort to be helpful. No refund will be given if we are unable to answer the question. It is up to the subscriber to assess the validity of answers given in relation to their own personal circumstances. No responsibility will be accepted for incorrect or inappropriate information given in good faith. Service availability is from 9am to 6pm UK time, Monday to Saturday, excluding bank holidays, though there may occasionally be other days/times when service is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances. In the case of emailed requests or telephone requests where a voicemail is left we will aim to respond by close of business the next working day, though this is not guaranteed. Subscriptions are only available to private individuals, i.e. not commercial organisations, and do not cover any request which escalates to a requirement for the vehicle in question or the vehicle documents or components to be physically inspected, though this can be done at extra cost. We reserve the right to refuse to accept a subscription or to terminate a subscription early without giving any reason, and in the latter case the fee paid will be refunded pro-rata for the unexpired period.
