This lovely saloon looks stunning in its understated dark metallic grey paintwork. The black leather interior contrasts beautifully with the exterior colour, and the whole car is in superb condition throughout, completely belying its 21 years of age. Saloons with the magnificent 3.2 litre M104 engine were always quite rare, but to find one with such a high options list as this in such excellent condition is very unusual indeed.
It was supplied new by Malaya Mercedes-Benz of Epsom in September 1995 and has had four caring owners, mostly in the Greater London area but the latest one in Dorset, to whom we supplied it in August 2011. We have now supplied him with an ultra-low mileage E320 coupe so this lovely car is once again available to a new owner.
The service book contains five stamps from the supplying dealer, seven from other Mercedes-Benz dealers in the South East, four from Mercedes-Benz of Poole and one from an independent Mercedes specialist. As well as the fully stamped service book we have many old invoices and all MOT records back to 2005.
The W124 saloons are justly renowned as superbly satisfying driving machines over any distance, and owners do tend to use them whenever the opportunity arises. Understandably therefore, the supply of well kept low mileage examples is now running very short.
This was one of the last W124 saloons off the production line before this model gave way to the much inferior W210. It has the sought-after 3.2 litre 24 valve engine, is very highly optioned, and carries a very good colour scheme. It has only covered an average of around 4,000 miles per annum over its lifetime to date and drives beautifully. Values of good examples of this model have been rising for some time now, and if other Mercedes models are anything to go by it will become ever more sought-after as the years go by.
We have carried out a comprehensive mechanical check of the car. Any faults found have been remedied, and any required maintenance has been carried out. A schedule of this work will be supplied with the car, along with our own warranty, details of which can be supplied on request.
