This gorgeous coupe has the lustrous Green/Black metallic paint, which is quite rare on this model. In most lighting conditions it appears as a rich metallic black, but occasionally gives a flash of deep emerald. It goes particularly well with the cream leather interior. The car was supplied new by Lancaster Hertford Mercedes-Benz in March 1996 to a gentleman in Essex and stayed in the area until 2008 with a further three owners. In that year it was acquired by a gentleman from near Cardiff who has owned it until now. He has changed to an E220 cabriolet so it is now available to a new owner.

Servicing has almost all been by Mercedes franchised dealers and independent specialists. The first six stamps in the book are from the supplying dealer, then there are five stamps from an independent Mercedes specialist in Epping. Since its move to Wales it has been serviced twice by a non-franchised garage and once by a well known independent Mercedes specialist in Pontypridd. Like many low mileage Mercedes of this era it covered a fairly average mileage for the first few years of its life, then settled into a regular pattern of three or four thousand miles per annum. Despite this the maintenance has been regularly attended to and it has rarely gone much more than a year between servicing.We have every old MoT certificate since the car was three years old and many of the more recent service and maintenance invoices.

The car is in magnificent condition in every respect, and gives every indication of the careful maintenance and sympathetic use it has had for its entire life to date. We have travelled several hundred miles in it and can confirm that it is mechanically superb and drives beautifully. In the way of Mercedes of this era it is still in the first flush of youth, and given loving care from now on will be a joy to own for many years to come.

We have commissioned a comprehensive mechanical check of the car by our independent Mercedes specialist. Any faults found have been remedied, and any required maintenance has been carried out. Invoices for this work will be supplied with the car, along with our own warranty, details of which can be supplied on request.
