This highly specified saloon, one of the last to be built, was purchased new in 1985 from Mitchell Cotts (later Gerard Mann) Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham. It was delivered to a doctor living locally, and has had several owners since then, the latest being a lady member of the Mercedes-Benz Club from Oswestry who has owned it since April 2008. Her husband died recently so she has reluctantly thinned out their collection of Mercedes cars.

It was serviced by the supplying dealer until 1987, with four of their stamps in the book. After this there are three stamps from non-franchised garages, after which it returned to the MB dealer network for servicing. There are a further six MB stamps, two from independent MB specialists and one from a non-franchised garage.

We have a large file containing many service and parts invoices and every MoT certificate. Considerable sums have been spent keeping this car in top condition right up to the present time.

The car looks superb in the deep metallic burgundy colour, and could easily pass for a much younger vehicle. The paintwork is pristine, the interior is unmarked, and all fittings and equipment are present and working. It drives beautifully, and feels like a much lower mileage car, which is no doubt a result of the considerable expenditure lavished on it over the years.

We have commissioned a comprehensive mechanical check of the car by our independent Mercedes-Benz specialist. Any faults found have been remedied, and any required maintenance has been carried out. Invoices for this work will be supplied with the car, along with our own warranty, details of which can be supplied on request.
