This gorgeous SL looks crisp and sharp in the sparkling Arctic White colour and will be admired in any company. The body colour forms a superb backdrop to the extensive chrome detailing, and the pale grey interior makes a pleasing and subtle contrast.

It was supplied new by Alan Day Mercedes-Benz of London in February 1987 to a music publishing company in London. We think it remained in London until 1991 when it went to a gentleman in Dunbar, staying with him until around 1995. It then went to a company director from Loughborough who kept it for five years. In 2000 it was acquired by its latest owner, a lady from Newark. After 11 years of ownership she has now relinquished it as she is now retired and doing very little motoring. We understand from her that there have also been a couple of short term registrations to motor dealers for cherished plate transfer purposes.

There are seven Mercedes-Benz dealer stamps in the service book along with two from a Chrysler dealer during the period when Mercedes and Chrysler were the same company and four from trusted non-franchised garages. In addition we have every MoT certificate back to 1998 and recent invoices from Mercedes-Benz of Lincoln for almost £2,000, showing conscientious attention to keeping the car in top condition.

Each of the car's owners has cherished this car as a special treat, and judging by the low average annual mileage of around 2,500 it has probably always been a second car in the household, used only for high days and holidays. It is in pristine condition throughout, with near flawless paintwork and chrome, virtually unmarked interior trim and brand new O.E. quality soft top (fitted by us due to some minor abrasion on the original). It drives beautifully with all controls tight and fresh commensurate with its low mileage, and will be a treasured possession for its new owner for many years to come.

We have commissioned a comprehensive mechanical check of the car by our independent Mercedes-Benz specialist. Any faults found have been remedied, and any required maintenance has been carried out. Invoices for this work will be supplied with the car, along with our own warranty, details of which can be supplied on request.
