This classic SL looks absolutely beautiful in what is one of the most popular colour schemes of metallic black with cream leather, perfectly finished off by the option of  genuine 18” AMG alloy wheels with polished rims, wider at the rear, giving the car a very purposeful look.

It has had four owners in total, the latest being the retired director of a large holiday property company from the  Cheshire/Shropshire borders, who has owned it since 2001. We have now upgraded him to a later SL500 of the same model, so this lovely car is available to a new owner.

Prior to the latest owner acquiring it the car lived mainly in and around London, having been supplied new by HMG Mercedes-Benz of Bromley, Kent. Up to 2001 there are five stamps from MB dealers in the London area, plus one from an independent MB specialist and two from non-franchised garages. This took it up to 43,000 miles. After coming up to Cheshire to its latest owner the servicing has been carried out almost exclusively by Newgate Mercedes-Benz of Chester and their successors Road Range and Mercedes-Benz of Chester at the same site. There are eight stamps from them followed by one from a Porsche and BMW specialist near Chester. As well as the fully stamped service book we also have every MoT certificate since 2002 and many service and maintenance invoices, showing fastidious attention to keeping the car in top condition regardless of expense.

The paintwork, trim and fittings are in superb condition with hardly a mark anywhere, and the car drives superbly with ample power from the smooth six cylinder engine and fantastic grip from the wide AMG wheel/tyre combination. It will be a thing of lasting pleasure for its next owner at a truly modest price for its quality.

We have commissioned a comprehensive mechanical check of the car by our independent Mercedes-Benz specialist. Any faults found have been remedied, and any required maintenance has been carried out. Invoices for this work will be supplied with the car, along with our own warranty, details of which can be supplied on request.
